17-Jan-20 Friday Fail: Robot Design
Our robot for #PiWars is awesome. It was built from scratch using a miller to make our own PCB motor controllers, laser cutter to make the chasis. We've adapted a kid's toy for the shooter and are using a caving helmet light case for a menu.
What's not awesome is it's normal state: I just don't like the white helmet!
So 1. I've changed it to a blue helmet and 2. I thought I'd print then cut some cool stickers.
- not a problem, blue looks good!
- the sticker paper is far too thick for the helmet. I'll be better off with vinyl stickers or thinner paper.
Lesson learnt!
